Shellenberger Marian B. Shellenberger, age 78, of Mahtomedi, passed away July 3 of pancreatic cancer. Born in Petersburg, ND February 12, 1925. Preceded in death by parents, Henry and Erma Engesather. Survived by loving husband of 53 years, Charles Shellenberger; daughter, Nancy Olsen (Allen), Edina; sons, David Shellenberger (Roberta), Bloomington, Jeff Shellenberger (Peggy), Quincy, MA; 3 grandchildren, Zach, Ruth Olsen, Sena Shellenberger; sisters, Frances Callihan of Inglewood, CA, Dorothy Beihoffer (Warren) of Windom, MN, Jeanette Engesather of Bemidji, MN; brother, John Engesather (Audrienne) of Grand Forks, ND. Marian graduated from the U of North Dakota with a major in business admin. she taught accounting for 3 years at Minneapolis Business College. She later earned a degree in teaching from St. Cloud State and a Reading Specialists Certificate from the U of Minnesota. She taught elementary education and then served as Reading Specialist for White Bear Lake elementary schools before retiring in 1985. She is remembered for her love of her family, her wonderful smile, her incredible patience and her gentle spirit. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 9, 11:00 AM at First Lutheran Church, Hwy. 61 @ County Road F, WBL. Memorials preferred to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or HealthEast Hospice.
