Efteland, Maria S. "Soky" Age 62 of Minneapolis, passed Away Oct. 11, 2019. Soky came to the US from Colonia Tovar- Venezuela in 1999, after having been born and raised in Columbia South America. She worked at Aurora Charter School in Minneapolis for many years and was loved and adored by students and teachers alike. She met George Efteland at Grace church and they were married in 2003. Soky had such a gracious heart and was alway looking for ways to help people. She was a volunteer at church as well as at school. Survived by husband, George; daughter , Mary Luz Ayala; son, Giovanni (Ines) Ayala; grandchildren, Kevin, Valentina, Santiago, Samantha and Samara; sister, Luz Helena Colorado. Her husband and children thank each one with heartfelt gratitude for all their great help and for sharing such beautiful moments with our dear Soky. Funeral service Sunday Oct. 20th at 3 pm at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, 8211 Red Oak Dr., Mounds View, MN 55112. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment Lakewood cemetery. Memorials prefered to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital or donors favorite charity.
