Vados Madelyn N., of Columbia Heights, passed away Jan. 3, 2002. Preceded in death by husband, John; son, Michael L.; sister, Irene Beardslee; and half-brother, Rex Frame. Survived by son, Lee Glover; grandsons, Michael S. Vados, Justin Glover; granddaughters, Linda Olson (Gary), Cynthia Weiss (Chris); sister, Geraldine Gordon; great-grandchildren, Lindsey & Derrick Olson, Paige, Logan & Grace Weiss; also many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Vados and husband John founded and operated the Vados Bait Co., Spring Lake Park from 1949 until 1983. It was one of Minnesota's most well known and successful retail/wholesale bait sources during those years and remains in business today under the same name.
