Louis T. Safer Obituary

Louis T. Safer, age 88, of St. Paul, died January 14 at home. Artist, violinist, Professor Emeritus of Art, General College, University of Minnesota. Lou's artwork is represented in the National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian Institution; 3M Corporation and the University of Minnesota. He painted the mural in the chapel of Bethesda Lutheran Hospital, St. Paul. His creative, playful spirit will be enormously missed by loving companion, Joyce Lyon; sister-in-law, Gladys Safer; niece, Karen Safer; nephew, Ronald Safer, all of Los Angeles; niece, Carolyn Safer, New York; and a wonderful community of friends. Thanks to the Blue Team of Allina Hospice of Roseville; very special thanks to caregivers Josephine Nkemka and Konde Hengi.
