Hagel Lawrence A., age 85, of Elk River, formerly of Hanover, died peacefully surrounded by his family at Guardian Angels Care Center on February 8, 2003. Preceded in death by his father, John. Survived by loving & devoted wife of 62 years, Lavina; children, Terri Jones, Tom (Bonnie), Edward, John (Kathryn), Marie (John) Muller, Catherine (Craig) Johnson, Roland, Armella (Ray) Ott and Mary Ann Hagel; 14 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren; also survived by his mother, Catherine Hagel; 7 brothers; 3 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. Mass of Christian Burial 12 Noon Tuesday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 566 4th St. NW, Elk River. Visitation 4-8 PM Monday at Dare's Funeral Home, 805 Main St, & 1 hour prior to mass at church on Tues. Interment St. Michael's Parish Cemetery. Memorials preferred. Dare's Funeral Home 763-441-1212
