Benson Kathryn M., age 82 of Elk River passed away on January 13, 2003. Preceded in death by her husband, Carl; and grandson, Erik Turbenson. Survived by children, Susan (Steve) Turbenson, Allen Benson, and Gallen (Sally Gordon) Benson; grandchildren, Amy, Lori, Nelly, and Lilly; and brother, Donald (Vicki) Welsch. She was loved and will be missed by her family. Memorial Service 1:30 PM Thursday at Union Congregational United Church of Christ, 1118 4th St. NW, Elk River. Visitation 5-8 PM Wednesday at Dare's Funeral Home, 805 Main St., Elk River, 763-441-1212. There will be a private family interment before the service Thursday. Memorials preferred to Union Congregational United Church of Christ.
