Bucko, Karen Hardies Died on September 16, 2008 at her home in Minneapolis, MN after a 2-year battle with ovarian cancer. She was 45. Karen was a 1980 graduate of Goshen (Indiana) High School. She received a B.S. in Management from Purdue University in 1984. She also completed the Executive Education Program at Harvard Business School. Karen held the position of Vice President of International Business Planning at Compaq Computer Corp. in Houston, TX. She relocated to Minneapolis where she worked as an independent consultant. Karen loved her dogs and running. She ran marathons in Boston, Houston and Chicago. Karen is survived by her mother, Marianne Hardies, Goshen, IN; father, Chuck (Linda) Hardies, Bristol, IN; brother, Tom (Jane); and nieces, Jill and Anne Hardies, Hinsdale, IL. A Memorial Service will be held Friday at 10:30 AM at Christ Presbyterian Church, 6901 Normandale Road (W. 70th at Hwy 100), Edina, MN with a reception to follow. Interment Violet Cemetery, Goshen, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Fairview Hospice or the Goshen Hospital & Health Care Foundation.
