Rober Joyce LaVerne, age 73, of Mpls., died May 21, 2002 after a long illness. Survived by 7 children, Betty Lou Abbott & husband George, Kenneth & wife Vickie, Vicky & husband Scott Kamann, Louis III & wife Brenda, Daniel & wife Debra, James & wife Wanda, Carol & husband James Schertner; 23 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 3 nieces. Memorial Service Wed., May 29, 2002, 1:00 PM at Minnehaha Baptist Church, 4155 41st Ave S., Mpls. Graveside service to follow at Fort Snelling, with luncheon at church afterward. Family prefers memorials in lieu of flowers. Cremation Society of MN Mpls. 612-825-2435
