Prail Josephine Annette Prail (Sabin) 8/28/09 - 4/19/03. Jo was born in Walnut Grove and like Laura Ingalls Wilder before her, had a great love of books and the western Minnesota prairie. She was teaching school in Janesville, MN before she was 20. She directed plays in which the community participated. Jo and husband of 62 years, Alvin Prail, made a life farming near Benson. Her garden produced meals that drew not only family but also many "helping hands" in the farming community. Her devotion to her daughters and later to her grandchildren is a cherished memory. In recent years, they retired to Land O'Lakes, FL. She is survived by her husband Al; sister Ivadell Schmiesing of Burnsville; daughters Linda Rodriguez of Tampa, FL, Julie (Kent) Molde of Eden Prairie; grandchildren, Heidi (Mike) Ake of Tampa, FL, Peter Erickson of NY, NY, Ryan Molde of Eden Prairie, Britt Molde of Minneapolis; great grandchildren Hayden, Mary Grace, and Winton Ake. Visitation is Thursday from 6-8 PM at the Jacobson-Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson. Funeral Fri. April 25, 1 PM at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Benson, MN. The family requests that memorials be sent to Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church of Benson.
