John G. Hopping Obituary

Hopping John G. ''Jack'', age 82, of Brainerd formerly South Mpls. Retired salesman for Northwestern Casket Company in Minneapolis. Served in the US Navy during World War II. Member of First Lutheran Church, Brainerd, Golden K Kiwanis and Meals on Wheels program. Survived by wife, Margaret; sons, Gary (Jane) Hopping of Delano, John (Rita) Hopping of Champlain and Charles Hopping of Minneapolis; 5 grandchildren, Bradley, Matthew, Susie, Carol and Chris; 6 great-grandchildren, Jerome, Callie, Sawyer, Spencer, Zachary and Gavin. Preceded in death by his brother, Richard Hopping. Services 1:30 PM, Friday, December 28, 2001 at Nordland Lutheran Church, rural Paynesville, MN. Visitation 4-7 pm, Thursday, at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd and at the church Friday one hour before services. Memorials are preferred to Nordland Church or the Golden K Kiwanis Club.
