Militello, John F. "Jack", PhD Age 77, died July 3, 2023 in Minneapolis, MN. Jack was born on March 24, 1946 in Buffalo, NY to Dr. Salvatore Militello and Corinne (Parisi) Militello and was raised in a large and loving Italian family. He graduated from Mount St. Joseph Elementary School, Canisius High School, Boston College (AB), University of Colorado (MA), and The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (PhD). Since 1987, Jack was professor in the Department of Management, Opus College of Business, University of St. Thomas. He also served as director of the Health Care MBA and Executive MBA programs and as senior executive fellow in the Center for Innovation in the Business of Health Care. Survived by beloved wife, Marilee DesLauriers and devoted corgis, Giulia and Piper. Also survived by siblings, Joe Militello, FL; Mary Ann Militello, Corinne Militello, Jim (Chrisann) Militello, NY; Kathy (Bob) Woodruff, IL; Michael (Katie) Militello, CA; cousin, JoAnn (Larry) DiGiulio, NY; in-laws, Michele DesLauriers, MN; Jim (Cathy) DesLauriers, FL; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceded in death by parents and sister, Margaret. Funeral Mass Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 10:00 am at the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas, 2115 Summit Ave., St. Paul. Luncheon immediately following. Ample parking in lots and ramps. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to the Opus College of Business, UST or Jesuits USA East Province.
