Becker Joanne (Govey) McGovern, age 75, of Edina, died July 1, 2002 after a lengthy and courageous battle with kidney disease. Survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Paul (Jack); children, Debra Horwath (Richard), Paul (Pam), Steven (Claudia) and Brad (Debbie); 7 grandchildren, Sara, Michael, Tim, J.P., Bryan, Matt and Joe. Joanne enjoyed her summers at Gull Lake, wintering in Florida and spending time with family and friends. Memorial service 11 am Friday, Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 5051 Eden Ave., Edina. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the National Kidney Foundation, or the donor's choice.
