Denzer JoAnne J., age 66, of Brooklyn Center, passed away peacefully Dec. 2, 2002 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was a longtime employee of Unity Hospital. Preceded in death by brother, Ronald Schaefer and father, Jake Schaefer. Survived by loving husband, Gerald ''Jerry'' of 42 years; daughter, Cheryl Batson; son, Robert (Micky); grandchildren, Madison and Jack Denzer; mother, Irene Schaefer and brother, Jerry Schaefer; many other relatives and friends. Funeral service 11 am Thursday, Dec. 5 at Hope Lutheran Church, 5200 Emerson Ave N., Mpls (612-521-3547). Visitation in church Thursday one hour prior to service. Interment Sunset Memorial Park.
