Jerry Tierney Obituary

Tierney Jerry Tierney, 60, of Litchfield passed away Friday, Mar. 7, 2003, after a brave battle with cancer. No one has ever loved life, respected people, and accepted what fate threw his way with more dignity than Jerry. He was born March 28, 1942, in Litchfield to Tom and June Tierney. He graduated from Litchfield High School and attended St. John's and St. Cloud State Universities. He owned Viren Johnson Clothiers in Litchfeld until 1989 and was presently employed by Fenton Motors. He is survived by wife, Patty, daughters Beth Tierney of Woodbury, Amy (and Tom) Pollock of Litchfield, Sara Tierney of Litchfield, two grandsons, Adam and Jacob Pollock, his mother, June, and sister, Charon Tierney, both of Paynesville. He is also survived by step daughter Sabrina (and Darren) Schreiber, two step grandchildren, Derek and Emily Schreiber, other relatives, and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his father and infant daughter, Shannon. A funeral Mass will be Tuesday, 9:00 a.m. at The Church of Our Lady in Manannah. There will also be a visitation Tuesday p.m. and service on Wednesday, 11 a.m. at First Lutheran Church, Litchfield. Memorials preferred to donor's choice.
