Eckers (Barnes) Jane L. Eckers, 55, formerly of Wayzata, lost her courageous battle to cancer on May 25, 2003. She passed away quietly at her home in Hillsboro, New Hampshire. Jane is survived by her husband, Curtis A. Eckers, Hillsboro, NH; son, Chris M. Eckers (fiancee Leila), Agawam, MA; daughter, Laurie Bonier (Andy), Wayzata, MN; mother, Lorraine Barnes, Hillsboro, NH; sisters, Ann Smith (Bruce), Kay Bennett (Steve), Lynn Green (Dick); half sister, Bonnie McCarthy (Forrest) and half sister, Susan Lever (Don); many nieces and nephews, friends and students. She was preceded in death by her father, Marshall Barnes and her grandparents. Jane had a rewarding 32 year teaching career in the Mound- Westonka School District before retiring in June 2002. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother and gained much happiness from the times she spent with her family and friends. Jane was giving, caring, and thoughtful of those around her. Our lives have been truly blessed with her presence and she will be dearly missed. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, June 10, at 7 pm, at the Lyndale Lutheran Church, 8012 Cty. Rd. 6, Maple Plain. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated by the Hillsboro Centre Congregational Church (Attn: Lorraine Barnes, One North Road, Hillsboro, NH 03244) or donor's choice. Burial will be in Hillsboro Centre Cemetery, Hillsboro, NH.
