Veltum James S., 54, died at home in Vancouver, WA, Friday, Sept. 20 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was an operations mgr. of a grain elevator for United Harvest in the port of Vancouver. Survivors include Nancy, wife of 33 years; daughters, Kristine and Susan; mother, Valeria Veltum. Memorial service on Wednesday, Sept. 25. Cards can be sent to Evergreen Staples Funeral Chapel, 4700 St. Johns Blvd., Vancouver, WA 98661. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
