Ellingson Hiram B., age 81, died March 18 at Ebenezer Luther Hall in Mpls. He was preceded in death by a stillborn son; daughter, Mary; sisters, Crystle Nelson and Kristine Helgeland. He is survived by his wife, Hannah; sons, Matthew and John (Carrie); grandchildren, Jakob and Siena, and Mikael; sister, June Hermanson; brother, Lemoyne (Jean) and nieces & nephews. He was born in Northwood, IA. He served in the 694th Signal Corps in WWII. He graduated from Luther College and from Luther Seminary in St. Paul in 1952. He was ordained into the ministry and served as a missionary in Madagascar with his wife for about 27 years. He served Maple Lake parish in Mentor, MN for 5 years. Memorial service Sunday, March 24, 2:30 pm at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 2315 Chicago Ave S. Memorials may be directed to Dept. of Global Missions of the ELCA, Global Health Ministries, or to Our Saviour's Church.
