Folkerds Helen K., of Golden Valley. Born June 29, 1911, died on June 27, 2002. Preceded in death by husband, Henry J. Folkerds. Survived by sons, David (Grace) of New Hope, John (Judy) of Buffalo, James (Sharon) of Red Wing; grandchildren, Steven, Mark, Peter, Anne, Aaron, Michael, Matthew & Daniel; great-grandchildren, Erika, Luke, Zachary, Joshua, Alexander & Nicholas. She was a graduate of River Falls State Teachers College and Metropolitan State University. She was a long-time substitute teacher in Robbinsdale Dist. #281. Funeral service Monday 1 PM, Holy Nativity Lutheran Church, 3900 Winnetka Ave N., New Hope. Visitation Sunday 5-8 PM at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 6000 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center, and also one hour prior at church. Interment Crystal Lake Cemetery. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to Holy Nativity Lutheran Church, North Memorial Hospice or donor's choice. Evans-Nordby 763-533-3000
