Melander Helen I., age 88, of South Minneapolis, passed away on August 29, 2005. Preceded in death by husband, Robert; 3 brothers. Survived by daughter, Carol (John) Roberts; grandchildren, Cathy (Andy) Thrasher, Douglas (Nancy), Steven (Michelle); great-grandchildren, Matt, Sam, Rebeccah, Ben, Jack, Joseph, and Abigail; sister, Marilyn (Tom) Heaney; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to North Memorial Hospice. Interment Hillside Cemetery. Memorial Service 7 PM Thursday with a gathering of friends 1 hour prior, all at: Washburn-McReavy Hillside Chapel 2610 19th Ave. NE 612-781-1999
