Williams Helen Hanifan Williams, age 96, passed away peacefully at Friendship Village on January 31, 2003. We lost a wise and genteel woman, a mentor to all who knew her. She was an extremely generous, unselfish and caring person who had a great sense of humor and loved her family dearly. An avid bridge player and prodigious reader, Helen left this world the last of 8 children of German immigrants, Fred and Doris Wentz. She was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her. Preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Williams. Survived by loving daughters, Patricia (Donald) Fiedler, Joan (Arthur) Schulze and Joyce Boland (David) Andreasen; eleven grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
