Helen (Toivonen) Falk Obituary

Falk (Toivonen) Helen, age 93, of Mpls., passed away May 28, 2002. Preceded in death by husband, Edwin; parents, Otto and Minnie Toivonen; sister, Marion; 5 nephews & 1 niece; and many friends. Helen was a Social Worker for Hennepin County in the Child Welfare Department. She was a member of the Finnish American Society, VFW, Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, Big Sisters of Hennepin County, McPhail School of Theater Arts, and was a 4-H leader. Survived by daughter, Linda Mathis of Paris, France; son, Roger Falk of Richfield; step-daughter, Virginia Heilig of Irvine, CA; granddaughter, Kristine Fontaine of Roseau; great-grandchildren, Josh, Joe and Kara; brother, Bill Toivonen (Lill); and many other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at 2:00 PM at Crystal Lake Funeral Home, corner of Penn and Dowling Aves. N., Mpls., with a gathering one hour prior to the service.
