Peterson Gordon E. Peterson, age 78, of Mpls, died February 8, 2003. He was a lifelong resident of Mpls and employed by Mpls Waterworks for 38 years. Gordon was active at Messiah Lutheran Church serving on the Property Committee for many years. In recent years he helped with the gardens at Nokomis Square. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley; daughter, Kristine (James) Lindberg; son, Thomas (Lorna) Peterson and daughter, Susan (Tom) Marden and sister, Madeline McFarlane; grandchildren, Anne and Peter Lindberg, Erika Peterson, Abby, Rachel and Stacy Marden; nieces and nephews. Memorial service 2 pm, Tuesday, February 11 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 2504 Columbus Av. S. with visitation 1 hour before service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the church.
