Long (Land) Gloria Deane, 75, slipped away quietly on December 20, 2001 in the home she shared with her daughter, Leslie K. Long-Simpson and her only grandchild, Kevin C. Simpson in Mendota Heights. She is survived by another daughter & son-in-law, Terry & Robert Stamps of Mountain View, CA; a son, Doyle D. Long Jr. of Portland, OR; two sisters, three brothers, and many good friends. Gloria was born and spent her childhood in Kansas. She attended Southwestern College and later moved to San Francisco, CA, where she married and raised her children. Her husband, Doyle D. Long Sr., preceded her in death. A private family memorial service will be held in the spring at her family home in Kansas. Memorials may be directed to the Juvenile Diabetes Association. The family wishes to thank the hospice team who made her last days so much more comfortable.
