Hedlund, Geraldine Beverly passed away April 10, 2018 at the age of 92. Geraldine grew up on a farm in North Dakota. She moved to Mpls. at 16, graduated from business school and became a secretary. She married Leland Hedlund and became a mother and homemaker. Jerie was a very generous, loving and caring person and will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by husband, Leland; parents Henry and Zoe Asmus; sisters, Edna, Audrey, Dorothy, Shirley, Maxine and brother Donald. Survived by children, Lorry (Terry), Kevin, Leisel (Mark) Pfleghaar; 8 grandchildren, Nicholas, Jason, Stacey, Leland, Alexis, Heather, Summer and Maya; 10 great grandchildren and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral service 2 PM Tuesday (4/17) at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 18360 Minnetonka Blvd. Deephaven. Visitation 5-7 PM Monday at Huber Funeral Home, 520 2nd Street, Excelsior and one hour prior to service at CHURCH. Interment, Groveland Cemetery. Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
Tree Planting Timeline
Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
