Johnson George W. ''Big George'' Johnson, age 39, of Golden Valley, died suddenly on 10/19/02. Preceded in death by mother, Elaine Portlas Johnson. Survived by father, Harry; many aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and friends. Graduate of the Blake School, Class of 1981, attended Drake University. Funeral service Thurs. 11 AM, Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel, W. 50th St. & Vernon Ave at Hwy 100, Edina. Interment Lakewood Cemetery. Visitation Wed. 5-8 PM and one hour prior to service.
