Scanlon Gene Edward, 74, of Long Beach, CA died on March 17, 2003. He was born on February 1, 1929 to James and Ellen (Ryan) Scanlon in Seaforth, MN. He is survived by his wife, Catherine; children, Roseanne (Calvin) Estea, Ellen (Bart) Ward, Mary (Kip) Williams, Sheila Scanlon-Lume, John (Linda) Scanlon; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Hugh (Sharon) and James. Preceded in death by brother, Danny; sister-in-law, Laurel. Funeral will take place Friday, March 21, 2003 at 11 AM at Huber Funeral Home, 1801 Commerce Blvd., Mound. Visitation will take place on Thursday from 5-8 PM at the Funeral Home and on Friday from 10-11 AM. Memorials preferred to the Gillespie Senior Center, Sinsinawa Dominicans, or Friends of St. Stevens. Huber Funeral Home Mound Chapel 952-472-1716
