Fred Leroy Buchner Obituary

Buchner Fred Leroy, age 86 of Blaine, formerly of Newaygo, MI. Died Dec. 15, at Crystal Lake Care Ctr. Preceded in death by first wife, Ida; and daughter, Sandra Pretz. Survived by wife, Darlene Buchner; children, Randy (Sue) Buchner, Annabelle (Gene) Furgason, Rose (Ben) Bonk, Freda (Calvin) Kooistra, Tina (David) LaPorte; step-children, Tarry and Elizabeth Morse, Pam and Richard Smith, Paulette and Richard Kotila, Marvin and Sandra Morse, Darrell and Dorothy Morse; many well loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Fred was a foreman for 37 yrs for General Motors until retirement in 1970. He was a PFC WWII Veteran, and POW in Germany for the last year of WWII. He received the Bronze Star for Bravery on the Field with the 125th Infantry. He was a life member, VFW Post in Newaygo and a member of the UAW at GM.
