Berends Frank J. Jr. ''Bud'', age 80, of Roseville on 8/2/02. Survived by wife, Bette of 50 years; children, Debbie Griese (Dan) and Pamela Berends; brother, John Berends; niece Emily Berends; nephew, Kurt (Leanne) and other relatives & friends. Retired Navy Officer serving in WWII and Korean War. Active member and volunteer for the American Cancer Society and American Heart Fund. Visitation Monday 5-8 PM and one hour before service on Tuesday. Service Tuesday 12 Noon at Sandberg Funeral Home, 7th Ave. and Charles St., N St Paul. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the Humane Society of Ramsey County & American Cancer Society. Sandberg Brothers 651-777-2600
