Florence Vernita Marie Hermel Obituary
Hermel Florence Vernita Marie, 80, of Aitkin, died Sunday, April 13, 2003 in the Riverwood Health Care Center, Aitkin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, on Sept. 17, 2002; two brothers, Bill and Willard Hokana, and her parents, Emil and Hillia (Wattula) Hokana. Florence is survived by five children, Glenn of Mpls, Kent (Connie) of Onamia, Shirley (Larry) Berkner of Roseville, Shelly (Craig) Ackley of Aitkin, and Ed of Cohasset; 12 grandchildren, Theresa, Brady, Phillip, Kloe, and Kyla Hermel; Lisa, Tim and Sarah Berkner; Levi, Isaac, Hannah and Samuel Ackley; and Phillip; 6 sisters, Norman German, Margorie Dike, Ellen Kelleher, Evelyn Gordon, Ginny Olund and Betsy Short and brother, Franklin Hokana. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the 1 pm Thursday, April 17 funeral service in the Malmo Evangelical Free Church, Malmo. Rev. Robert Carl and Rev. Donald Norman will officiate. Burial Foster Cemetery, Wahkon. Arr. by Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home, Aitkin.
