Gerald Peterson (Jerry Milton) Obituary
Hastings - 79, of Hastings, passed away December 9, 2025, at home surrounded by wife and daughter. Born in Belle Plaine, IA, Jerry graduated from Luther College in1969 and dedicated 27 years to Minnesota Corrections before retiring to work security for the Minnesota Twins. He married his beloved wife, Carmen, in 1970, and together raised two children, Rachael and the late Daniel. Jerry was known for his heart for people, devotion to family, and lasting friendships. He is survived by Carmen, daughter Rachael (Kelly), sister Marcia VanVleet, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many loved ones. A Celebration of Life will be held January 23, 2026, at Starkson's Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion St., Hastings, with visitation at 1 p.m. and service at 3 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Superior Hospice Care or Hastings Family Services.
