Farrell Judge Eugene J. Farrell 12/20/23 - 03/15/03 Retired Hennepin County District Court Judge, past president of the Real Property Section of the Minnesota Bar Association, decorated WWII veteran, died surrounded by family on Saturday March 15, 2003 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN after a lengthy illness. Gene will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Helen; daughters, Sharon Farrell, Sheila Farrell, Shana (Fred) Heidmann; son, Sean (Brenda) Farrell; and grandchildren, Sarah Sullivan, Ian & Erin McFarland, Monique Darton, Jenna & Collin Heidmann; and countless friends in Arizona, the Twin Cities and the Brainerd Lakes Area. Gene had a love for gardening, was an avid golfer, member of the "Hole In One Club" at the Pines at Grandview and a 29 year member of A.A. Gene made a profound impact on all who knew him. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday 1-5 PM at Gill Brothers Funeral Chapel, 5801 Lyndale Ave. S. Prayer service and remembrances from 3-4 PM.
