Wilber Eugene ''Gene'', age 87, of Zimmerman, went to be with the Lord on October 9, 2002. Survived by loving wife of 63 years, Irma; children, Jerry (Karen), Jim (Eva), Ron (Connie), Rich (Sharon), Carole (Ron), Roger (Mickey), Patty (Jerry), Sharon, Mike (Donna), Sheila (Greg), Teresa (Abe), and Liz (Craig). Also survived by 34 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; 2 brothers and a sister; and children, William F. Wilber and Leanne P. Hutton. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Monday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 25909 4th St. W., Zimmerman. Visitation 4-8 PM TODAY at Dare's Funeral Home, 805 Main St., Elk River, 763-441-1212, and one hour prior to service at church. Interment St. Pius X Cemetery.
