Carlson Elayne J., age 70 of Mounds View. Passed away into the arms of Jesus on May 7, 2003. Preceded by beloved husband, Dalvin; father, Walter Shol; brother, Robert Shol; best friends, Opal "Larce" Lesnau and Veta "Beeps" Young. Survived by mother, Pearl Shol; children, Terry McKnight (Kenny), Wendy Grabowski (Bill), Colleen Johnson (Mike), Brad Carlson (Kathy) and Tom Carlson; grandchildren, Matt, Colleen (Jeremy), Wayne, Melissa, Molly, Christina, Carley, Becky, Bud, Jackie, Garrett and Summer; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Vince; sisters, Bette, Audrey (Gus), Pat and Faye (Jerry); brother, Gene (Ruth). Many nieces and nephews. Elayne's greatest legacy was her devotion to her family. Being "a Mom" was the job of which she was most proud. She was loved by all that knew her. She looked for and found the good in all, sweeping the bad under the rug with hopes of a brighter tomorrow. We will miss her unconditional love! Elayne's life was especially blessed with two of God's great gifts - her sister, Pat Gapen, who was always there to support her during the ups and downs; and her spirit leader, Virg Lesnau, confidante, buddy and best friend.
