Woodford Edward Wayne (Woody) (Lt. US Navy, retired), age 85. Born in Coralville, IA on 5/12/17. Preceded in death by wife, Scharmone (Gast). Passed away peacefully with family present on 2/5/03. Survived by wife, Ione (Nettum-Green); brother, Harold; sister, Joan; sons, Wayne A. (Al) & wife Jean (Kapala), Stephen B. & wife Pat (Rupert); grandsons, Chad & Sean, Woodford, Josh and Jake Rupert; great-grandsons, Mason & Tyler; and also nieces & nephews. Retired after 31 years US Navy, WWII veteran, submarine service. Funeral service Saturday, 1:30 pm, Washburn-McReavy Northeast Chapel, 2901 Johnson St. NE. Interment Sunset Mausoleum.
