Eckholdt Dr. John Eckholdt, died of cancer Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002 at his home in Baltimore, MD. He was 64. He was born and raised in Mpls., earned his Bachelor's degree in 1959 and his Medical degree in 1963 from the University of MN. Survived by his wife of 38 years, the former Diane Walz; a son, Haftan M. Eckholdt of Brooklyn, NY; a daughter, Tracy A. Earp of Parkville; a brother, David Eckholdt of Mpls.; and two nephews, Peter and John. Services were held at Chestnut Grove Presbyterian Church in Baltimore, MD. He was Chairman of the Mercy Medical Center's Division of Neurology. He taught residents and treated patients for more than 30 years.
