Douglas E. Belanger Obituary

Belanger Douglas E., age 70, of Mpls, died Dec. 23, 2001. Douglas was a graduate of the U of M in 1958. A veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired after 26 years with the Minneapolis Public Health Dept. After retirement in 1986, he started the High Path Maple Products Co., and was a member of the Mpls Farmers Market. Preceded in death by infant son, Peter. Survived by loving wife of 45 years, Joan; daughter, Suzanne (Charles) Rennolet; sons, Thomas (Diane), Brian, Mitchell (Maryann); grandsons, Luke, Joey; sister, Dorisanne Swanson; brother, Ramon (Geraldine); 6 nieces, 5 nephews, 10 grand nieces, 4 grand nephews, other relatives & friends. Special thanks to the staff of Fairview Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Fairview Hospice Fund, or Our Lady of Good Counsel Home. Memorial Mass 10 am, visitation 9 am Wed., Jan. 2, 2002 at Annunciation Church, 509 W. 54th St., Mpls. Private interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Cremation Society of MN Edina 952-924-4100
