Donald M. Bodelson Obituary

Bodelson Donald M., 76, of Red Wing, MN died Tues., July 2. After graduating from Red Wing High School in 1944, he served in the U.S. Army. In October of 1952 he and Donald Larson started the Bodelson-Larson Funeral Home in St. Paul Park, now known as Kok Funeral Home. On Jan. 1, 1960 he and his wife purchased Edstrom Funeral Home in Red Wing which was later named Bodelson Funeral Home. He was a member of the Newport Masonic Lodge #118. He is survived by his wife, Edla Marie of Red Wing; 2 sons, Vaughn (Joan) Bodelson of St. Paul & Gary Bodelson of Mpls; 2 daughters, Linda (Bryan) Kommerstad of Savage & Sue (Craig) Strom of Red Wing; 6 grandchildren; & one brother, Jerry (Kathy) Bodelson of Mankato. Funeral will be 1 PM Sat., July 6, at First Lutheran Church, 615 West 5th St., Red Wing. Burial Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation Friday 4-8 PM at Bodelson-Mahn Funeral Home, 602 Plum St., Red Wing.
