Dietrich Weinauer Obituary
Weinauer, Dietrich E. 91, of Venice, FL, died Oct. 27, 2019. Preceded in death by first wife Doris. Survived by Margaret (Peggy), wife of 43 years, daughters Anne, Susan, Ellen (Jonathan Barron), Kim Peterson, sons Michael (Elizabeth), Dean Hanmer, and Mike (Cori) Hanmer, seven grandchildren & four great grandchildren. After several years of service in the army, Diet became a chemical engineer; he spent most of his career working for General Mills, eventually becoming the head of R&D. Throughout his life he loved hunting, fishing, card games, puzzles, and puns; above all, he was a voracious reader. A service will be held Monday, November 4, 2019 at 10:00 am at Christ United Methodist Church, Venice, FL.
