David Brehm Obituary

Brehm, David A. Age 75, of Glenwood, Minnesota, passed away on May 25, 2020 after a brief illness. David was born in Des Moines, Iowa in January 25, 1945, son of the Carl T. Brehm and Phyllis (Pyle) Brehm. David attended North High School in Des Moines. He received a degree in Law Enforcement from Normandale Community College, and a degree in Criminal Justice from Mankato State University. He was a proud, and highly respected, law enforcement officer, serving with police departments in Orono, Minnetonka (Deputy Chief of Police), and Wayzata (Chief of Police), and with the Hennepin County and Anoka County (Captain) Sheriff's Offices. He was also a graduate of the FBI National Academy. He loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting, and especially pheasant hunting with his dogs. David is survived by his daughters, Wendy Surprise of St. Paul and Tess Rice (Eddy) of Orono, his son, Peter of Eden Prairie, and his grandchildren Mimi & Jackson Mejia; Mattea, Simon, and Lilah; and Harrison Brehm. He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers Larry and Ricky. A public service has not been scheduled and we hope friends and loved ones will stay in contact until larger gatherings are once again safe. In lieu of flowers (now or then), memorials can be made to a charity of your choice. Rettinger Funeral Home Long Lake-Orono 952-473-6954
