Cornie H. Burton Obituary

Burton Cornie H., was born in rural Hampden, ND, April 18, 1913, the daughter of Henry & Anna Rustan. She graduated from Northwood North Dakota High School. She married Melvin Burton in Grand Forks, ND on Oct. 11, 1937. She worked in retail sales and managed the family's rental property. A Fridley resident since 1957, she was a community volunteer and an active member of her church. She died at home Feb. 8. Her husband, Melvin, son, Leon, and sisters, Bernice and Edna Rustan preceded her in death. She is survived by son, Rev. Don Burton, his wife, Julie, daughter-in-law, Beverly Burton, and by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service 11 AM Tuesday, Feb. 12, at St. Philip's Lutheran Church, 6180 NE Hwy 65, Fridley (763-571-1500). Visitation in church Tuesday, one hour prior to service. Interment Hillside Cemetery, Mpls. Luncheon at church will follow graveside service. Memorials to St. Philip's Lutheran Church. Miller Funeral Home Fridley Chapel 763-571-1300
