Lentz Christel J., age 90, of Brooklyn Center, formerly of Freeport, IL, went to be with Lord on 3/4/02. Preceded in death by brother, Arwell Carter; sister, Mardell Carter; and granddaughter, Kathryn Giannitti. Survived by husband of 66 years, John H.; brother, Robert Carter; children, Kay (Bob) Lind, John C. (Kathleen) Lentz; 3 granddaughters; and 2 great-grandchildren. Christel had a long and rewarding career as a nurse at Freeport, IL Memorial Hospital. She was an active member of 1st Lutheran Church, and was a part of many volunteer organizations. Memorial service Friday, 11 am, at Cross of Glory Lutheran Church, 5929 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Center. Memorials preferred to the Society for the Blind. Interment White Oak Cemetery, Forreston, IL.
