Winer Charlotte Dorothy Winer, born August 20, 1916, in Duluth, Minnesota, died in her La Mesa, California home Saturday, March 1, 2003, after having been diagnosed with terminal cancer in June 2002. Her four daughters, Tamara Levine Bender, Joyce Ann Levine, Linda Susan Levine, and Caron Avril Levine, her granddaughter Rachel Cara Peranski, and her former husband Clarence S. Levine survive her. All but Mr. Levine live in California. A small, energetic, and loving woman, she will be mourned not only by her family but by all those whose lives she touched with her warmth and genuine interest. A memorial service will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park on Sunday, March 9, at 2 PM. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Charlotte Winer's memory to San Diego Hospice, 4311 3rd Avenue, San Diego, CA 92103.
