Doll Charles Nicholas Doll, age 81. 10/01/1921 - 3/19/2003. Retired business agent for SEIU Local #63, Mpls Public Schools Engineers. Longtime employee of the City of Mpls and of Mpls Public Schools. Resident of St. Therese Residence of New Hope. 1939 graduate of Robbinsdale High School, attended St. Thomas College, and enlisted in the U.S. Army during WWII, where he served as a drill sergeant in Camp Rucker, AL. Preceded in death by parents, Nicholas & Emily Doll of Mpls. Survived by daughter, Nicole; sisters, Dorothy (Alfred) Neumann of St. Paul, Ruth Merhar of Babbitt and Sister Amelianne Doll, OSB of St. Cloud; dearest companion, Erma Molan; and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Charles was an active union and DFL party member and in retirement, served on the MERF Pension Board and as President of the St. Therese Tenant Assoc. He loved to play golf, to attend the theater, and enjoyed dining out with friends and excursions to casinos. Visitation Sunday, 2-5 pm at Washburn-McReavy Robbinsdale Chapel, 4239 W. Broadway. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, 10 am, with visitation 1/2 hour before at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4087 W. Broadway, Robbinsdale. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
