Charles Jude Parsons Obituary

Parsons Charles "Chip" Jude Parsons was called to follow God's light home on July 30. He was surrounded by his loving wife and family as he valiantly fought complications from a brain aneurysm. Chip was born in 1957 in Hingham, MA and spent his formative years in Bloomington, MN. He resided in Eden Prairie, MN with his beautiful wife Patti. He was a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be sorely missed. Chip was preceded in death by his father, Charles. He is survived by his caring wife, Patti; his faithful mother, Mary; his adoring sisters; Carol, Lee, Gail, Jan, and Fay; his brothers-in-law, Bob, Don, Greg, and Harry; his cherished nieces and nephew, Terri, Shannon, Kyle, Jasmine, and Paige; and an extended family of uncles, aunts, cousins, and in-laws. Chip was a kind man with a good soul whose compassion knew no bounds. Many were benefactors of his generous spirit as he touched countless lives. He proudly achieved 13+ years of sobriety and served as a mentor to a number of people as they struggled in their journey. His acceptance of everyone was a hallmark of his character. Chip loved to travel and was fortunate to visit many parts of the world. Throughout his travels, he met many people all of whom were blessed by his presence. He truly was one of a kind and will never be forgotten. Visitation Tuesday, August 2, 4-8 PM, at the Washburn McReavy Eden Prairie Chapel, 7625 Mitchell Road. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, August 3, 2:00 PM with visitation 1 hour prior at The Church of St. Richard, 76th Street at Penn Ave. So., Richfield.
