Handberg, Channing Paul was born in Minneapolis MN, Novem-ber 3, 1927 to Martin & Ella Handberg. Channing was taken to heaven to be with our Lord July 19, 2019. Channing grew up in Minneapolis graduating with an Associate of Arts degree from Bethany Lutheran College 1950 and Bachelor of Arts degree University of MN 1952. He met the love of his life, Rachel Ann (Haagenson) Handberg and April 29, 1956 married. They celebrated over 60 years of Christian faith together. He was blessed to be President of Handberg Insurance Agency and a singing member of the Apollo Club of Minneapolis for over 60 years. He was preceded in death by wife, Rachel and brothers, Hugo and Marshall Handberg. He is survived by son, Channing Handberg Jr. (Sheila); daughter, Heidi Louise Hukriede (Brian); grandchildren, Maria and Mark Handberg, Isabelle and Emma Hukriede; many nieces, nephews and loving family. Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 29, 2019, 11 AM at King of Grace Lutheran Church, 6000 Duluth Street, Golden Valley, MN, 55422 with visitation one hour prior to the service at church.
