Werness Catherine A., age 91 and a 71 year resident of Hopkins, died March 15, 2003. Preceded in death by parents; son, Stanley; 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Survived by loving husband of 71 years, Melvin; son, Ronald (Marcy) of New Brighton; daughter, Susan (Jim) Gossard of Hopkins; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was a member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliary, the KC Auxiliary and a volunteer at Hopkins Community Center for many years. Catherine was loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed. Memorials preferred to Make a Wish Foundation or MS Society. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial 10am Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1310 Mainstreet, Hopkins with visitation 1 hour prior to Mass at church and also 5-8pm Wednesday at: Washburn-McReavy Strobeck-Johnson 1400 Mainstreet, Hopkins 952-938-9020
