Survived by a daughter, Lynn (Stephen) Higgins of Loretto; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Newton of Wabasha; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by husband, Eugene Newton; son, Eugene ''Skipper'' Newton. Funeral service 1 PM TODAY at the funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
