Cacharelis Byron John passed away at age 76 on September 22, 2002 in Pasadena, CA where he had lived for the last few years. He was born June 21, 1926 in Casper, WY to Othon and Agnes (Woldy) Cacharelis. In 1930, the family made Minneapolis their permanent home. He graduated from Central High School and the University of Minnesota. He is survived by sons Philip (Palo Alto, CA), Joel (Winnetka, IL); daughter, Brenda (Mrs. Frank Hoff) of Glenview, IL: two grandchildren, Alexander and Kate Hoff; a sister, D. Donna Cacharelis of Seattle, WA; his ex-wife Charlotte J. (Eckert) Cacharelis of Winnetka, IL; and many cousins in the Minnesota area. Committal Service with Military Honors will be held at noon on Tuesday, November 26th at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
