Survived by his loving wife Joyce; Sons & daughters-in-law, Daniel of Maple Plain, David & Tara of Shakopee, Brent & Lisa of Shorewood, Daughter & son-in-law Elizabeth & Tim Tate of Midland, Texas; 10 GC; Brother & sisters-in-law LeRoy & Betty Larson of Elbow Lake, Carol Rosenau of Bertha; 3 Special nieces Dianne, DeeDee & Joni. Services Wednesday 11 AM, Maple Plain Community Church, 1815 Budd Ave N., Maple Plain. Visitation Johnson Funeral Home, Waconia 952-442-2121 Tues 5-8 PM & at church 1 hour prior to the service. Interment Lewis Cemetery, Maple Plain. Burnie enjoyed his family, his hobby farm raising hereford cattle, his Norwegian heritage including lutefisk & lefse and his special friend D.R. Johnson. Burnie was a partner at Deloitte & Touche and worked there for 35 years. He belonged to the Toastmasters and the National Society of CPAs. Memorials preferred to Greater Minneapolis Assn of Evangelicals.
