Madsen ''BJ'' (Betty Jane), age 78, of New Hope. Graduate of Pepin High School 1941, Swedish Hospital School of Nursing 1945. Retired from Methodist Hospital Pediatric Dept. 1985. Member of Swedish Hospital Alumni Minnesota Porcelain Art Guild. Preceded in death by brother, Detlof; sister-in-law, Alice Sandholm; nephew, Richard Crosby and niece, Holly Ann Stoller. Survived by husband of 52 years, Donald; children, David, Richard, Ronald (Kelly); grandchildren, David Jr., Jennifer, Donald and Christian; sisters, Gloria (Gene) Ray, Dorothy (Al) Lee, Melly (Jim) Pearson, Yvonne (Dale) Swenson; brothers, Jerome (Angie) Olson and Earl Olson; sister-in-law, Geraldine Olson and brothers-in-law, Max (Mayme) Madsen, Roger (Betty) Madsen and Hollace Sandholm; many nephews, nieces and friends. Memorial services Wed. 11 AM Calvary Lutheran Church, 7520 Golden Valley Rd., Golden Valley. Visitation 1 hour prior to service. Private interment Fort Snelling Cemetery.
